Do you know a young person, group, team or club who have done something special or achieved something amazing? If so, you can nominate them for the 2018 Melksham Young People Awards.
This year’s awards, organised by local youth charity Young Melksham, are being held on Friday 18th May and nominations are now open.
The Melksham Young Peoples Awards are an opportunity to celebrate some of the spectacular young people living in the Melksham area.
There are a number of awards that each celebrate some of the different skills, achievements and commitments of young people. Do you know a young person, group, team or club who: • Care for or support a loved one, friend or neighbour. • Volunteer to help others or improve their community. • Have been an incredible team player. • Have worked hard to raise funds for others. • Have been a great example to others or is a fantastic role model. • Have stood up for what they believe in and made a difference. • Have made significant progress academically. • Have made an outstanding achievement in sports or the arts. • Have battled against the odds.
Organisers say, “Please don’t worry if you feel the award description above doesn’t suit the person you wish to nominate, the team will ensure all young people are considered for the most appropriate award.”
Any young person aged 18 and under living in the Melksham community area (Melksham, Bowerhill, Berryfield, Atworth, Broughton Gifford, Steeple Ashton, Great Hinton, Shaw, Whitley, Beanacre, Seend, Semington, Keevil, Bulkington and Poulshot) can be nominated for an award.
