MELKSHAM Rugby Club under 15s girls were invited to play at Twickenham during Bath Rugby’s ‘The Clash’ tournament on Saturday 6th April.
The girls were invited by Bath Rugby to play an 8-minute touch rugby game against Devizes at half time on the hallowed Twickenham turf. The final score was 3-3. The girls were aged between 11 – 14 years.
Team manager, Indi Little said, “During the event, there were over 60,152 people there and the girls were not fazed by the amount of people; they went out and played their socks off. I am incredibly proud of them all, they all played really well.
“We are looking for new players to come and join us, girls need to be in year 7+ at school. Training is on a Sunday. Please contact www.melk shamrfc.co.uk/ for more information.”
