ONE Voice Community Choir is back! The group, which has been running for several years, took an enforced break over lockdown, but re-formed last August after almost 18 months away.
One Voice is based on good, uplifting songs that everyone loves to sing – with a strong emphasis on fun and the social aspect. With popular songs ranging from 1930s to the present day, with plenty of recognisable ‘60s and ‘70s hits, show tunes and fun numbers, there’s something for everyone.
There are no auditions and an ability to read music is not required. The local meeting takes place on Thursday evenings at the Baptist Church Hall.
Following a very successful festive concert last December, the singers’ latest performance, The Music of Queen, took place last week at St Margaret’s Hall, Bradford on Avon, paying tribute to the rock phenomenon formed in 1970 and still touring today.
The choir began rehearsing their songs in the Autumn of 2019 as the performance was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020. Two years later it finally arrived!
