LOCAL photographer Andy York and his wife Christine are celebrating the tenth anniversary since opening their shop in Melksham town centre.
And they have a special celebration Open Day on Saturday 19th March with 10% off pictures, frames and other photographic services, givaways and a chance to meet the brand new Melksham Carnival Royalty which is being chosen the previous weekend.
Andy and Christine have run the shop together since 2006, offering a huge range of photographic and framing services.
Christine said, “We’ve had a successful ten years and have met a lot of interesting people and loyal customers. The way that people shop has changed and shops in the town have come and gone, but I think we offer a service that you can’t get online.
“We try to give a really personal service and make sure our customers get exactly what they want without having to leave Melksham.
“It’s a great town, and we like to think we’re community people; Andy and I are on the carnival committee and also raise money for local charities and for the Christmas lights. We’ve had a great ten years and aren’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon!”
There will be 10% off everything at Andy York Photography on the open day, except for ID and passport photographs.
Andy York Photography offer creative photoshoots, picture and item framing, photo restoration, passport photos, copying and restoration and photographic art.
Andy also has photographs and prints for sale, and is compiling Melksham Memories, an ongoing project to raise funds for Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a collection of historic photos of Melksham. He is still collecting if anyone has any personal pictures of the town they may be happy for him to copy.
