A COMMUNITY consultation was held this week to gather feedback on a proposal for 110 new houses to be built near Sandridge Common.
The proposal, put forward by Pegasus Planning Group, consists of outline planning permission for up to 110 new houses including up to 30% affordable housing.
Pegasus held a consultation at Melksham Skills Centre on Wednesday, to assess local opinion before submitting their application, which is expected later in the summer.
The build would include public open spaces and pedestrian and cycle links. The development would be in the fields immediately to the left as you drive out of Melksham toward Sandridge. Access would be from the A3102 – Sandridge Common.
The housing is intended to provide a part of the 611 new homes still needed in Melksham by 2026.
