Pole-Da-Cise Fitness Dance School, based in Melksham, will be holding their annual Charity Event on Saturday 11th October at White Horse Country Park.
This year the chosen charity is Splitz Support Service, a Trowbridge-based charity which provides support to families, individuals, and children/young people who have experienced difficulty, where that difficulty is related to separation, divorce or domestic abuse and their associated issues.
Splitz is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and currently provides an outreach service to provide support to victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) across the whole of Wiltshire, and a Young People’s support service for teenagers who have witnessed or been affected by DVA. In addition Splitz delivers an accredited voluntary programme for men who commit acts of DVA, to help them recognise and take responsibility for their actions and wish to change their behaviour. Splitz and Pole-Da-Cise share a desire to empower women and improve their sense of self-esteem and mental well-being.
Tickets are £10 on the door or in advance from Pole-Da-Cise Dance Studios, tel: 07792 278012. Further information on the two organisations can be found on their websites www.pole-dacise.com and www.splitz.org.
