Wiltshire Police are appealing for information regarding three separate incidents across the town.
Between 5.00pm on Wednesday 9th April, and 7.00pm Thursday 10th April, a blue Audi Quattro was vandalised in the area of Devonshire Place in Melksham. Unknown persons have scratched the bonnet with sharp implements, and the damage will result in a costly repair bill.
Another incident of criminal damage happened at around 1.50am on the morning of Sunday 13th April a BMW in Place Road Melksham received significant damage, caused to both wing mirrors, following a verbal argument between a male and female. The suspect made off from the scene on police arrival.
Local police are also appealing for information about an assault that took place at about 9.40pm on Friday 11th April on Granville Road, near the A350/ Beanacre Road in Melksham. A 36-year-old local man was assaulted and received an injury to his leg requiring hospital treatment. The suspect is described as a white man, around 5’6” to 5’7” tall, of skinny build and was wearing a blue hooded top. Officers are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have seen a person running on or near Beanacre Road around this time.
A 20-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
