Melksham Without Parish Council showed their appreciation for the outstanding work that BRAG (Bowerhill Residents Action Group) undertake all year round.
The parish council explained, “Not only for the continued success with the “RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood Competition” where they received the award for “Level 5: Outstanding” for the sixth year running, but for their regular litter picking too.
“BRAG will be joining the air cadets on a cold Saturday morning in November to plant more trees on the sports field and also bulbs to enhance the heritage turbine on the industrial estate.
“Melksham Without Parish Council have requested that the BRAG picnic area site is transferred to the parish of Melksham Without from the parish of Seend under the latest round of requests for the Community Governance Review. This is to reflect the sense of community and ownership that the residents of Bowerhill and Melksham Without have for the picnic area and to use the canal as a firm, identifiable boundary between the two parishes.” You can comment on that request here https://cms.wiltshire.gov.uk/ documents/s170772/Scheme11Seend.pdf
