QUESTIONS asked by the public at last month’s Melksham Town Council HR committee meeting remain unanswered.
At the meeting on Wednesday 12th August, attendees were told that answers to the questions asked in the public forum of the meeting would be made publically available in the minutes of the meeting, providing they do not contain any confidential information.
However, members of the public and councillors queried why questions they had asked at an earlier town council meeting were still yet to be answered.
Now, three weeks after the last meeting, the meetings’ minutes have yet to be published and the questions remain unanswered.
Questions included the appointment of the locum town clerk, the changed formation of the town council’s HR committee, the electricity bill for Melksham’s Round House, access to town council email servers, an alleged incident where staff were reported to have been locked out of the town hall, and the publishing of town council minutes of meetings.
As reported in the last issue, answers to these questions will be printed in a future edition of the Melksham News when they become available.
