The Rainbow Day Centre has been operating at the Riverside Club, Bath Road, Melksham since 1981 providing an opportunity for senior citizens to come together for social activities each Monday and/or Friday – an opportunity to meet up with old friends, or make new friends.
Organisers say, “We aim to give members an enjoyable time together whilst also offering opportunities to maintain their physical and mental well being through a range of simple activities. Our cook prepares a traditional hot lunch each day and we also arrange four outings to local venues each year, designed to enable all members to be able to participate.
“The Riverside Club is fully accessible to people with mobility or other needs, including memory loss, and we currently have a few vacancies on either day.
“We are also currently seeking a new organiser to take responsibility for running the centre and if you have a desire to make a real contribution to the well being of senior citizens living in your community, please see our advert for further details.
