RAINBOW Day Centre for the Elderly is once again offering social day care to senior citizens on Mondays and Fridays at the Riverside Club.
A spokesperson for the day centre, which reopened in August after the prolonged lockdowns, said, “We have a few vacancies for anyone who is looking for an opportunity of meeting up with like-minded people for social interaction and ‘fun’ light-hearted activities, with a traditional home cooked lunch.
“We also have occasional outings for a local pub lunch and other celebrations. The day centre also welcomes volunteers to support the organiser in ensuring that members experience a memorable day out, which can be very rewarding.
“If you would like to consider becoming a member, or a volunteer, why not come down to the Riverside Club on any Monday or Friday for a coffee and see what we do.
“You will be very welcome. Alternatively, you can always telephone our organiser, Lisa, on 07488 328615.
“We are also holding our Annual General Meeting at the Riverside Club on Monday 11th October, at 11am. Another opportunity to find out what we do and perhaps consider becoming a trustee and be involved in shaping the future development of this vibrant centre now in its 40th year.”
