SCHOOL children across the town and local villages have raised hundreds of pounds for Comic Relief.
For Red Nose Day, pupils dressed up as superheroes, dressed down, dressed in red and took part in “silly” competitions to raise money for the national event.
And it wasn’t just Melksham’s youngsters that got in the fundraising spirit – young at heart residents invented wacky ways to raise money, including local woman, Sue Mortimer, who organised a Red Nose Day 5km run, dressed as a clown!
