RESIDENTS are invited to share their views about what equipment they would like to see installed in the Bowerhill Sports Field, via a survey Melksham Without Parish Council (MWPC) is currently running.
The parish council is looking to install equipment for climbing and balancing; gym and physical develop- ment; calisthenic equipmentstrength; a teen shelter and seating.
A spokesperson for Melksham Without Parish Council said, “The Bowerhill Sports Field has a large footfall each day, from people running there, to people from neighbouring businesses attending during their lunch breaks. There are also weekly organised sporting activities as well as organised football training sessions and matches.
“The new equipment will be an enhancement to the sports field and will be in addition to all of the equipment we already have. The council feels that the sports field would be the ideal location to install some new equipment that would be easily accessible to users of all ages and abilities. It is felt that the area in front of the basketball court would be a good location to site the new equipment, as it will not interfere with the football pitches and provides enough space for all to enjoy.”
The closing date has now been extended to Thursday 14th September and people can either access the survey online or can collect a hard copy from the MWPC office at the Melksham Community Campus.
For people who are unable to access the ways already mentioned, they can call MWPC for an alternative arrangement to be made.
The survey is now live online by either scanning the QR code or via this link https://forms.office.com/e/jdvvC0anbG which is published on the MWPC website.
