Residents are being invited to have their say on Wiltshire Council’s strategic plan at an engagement event next month.
The draft plan sets out what the council wants to achieve over the coming years in areas such as community safety, children’s services, environmental protection, transport accessibility and public health.
The event will take place at Melksham Community Campus on Wednesday 10th September from 1pm to 4pm.
Members of the council’s cabinet and council officers will be on hand to answer questions and join in the discussion.
Cllr Ian Thorn, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said, “We want to hear directly from the people we serve.
“Whether you agree with our direction or think we should do things differently, your voice matters.
“If you’re a resident, business owner, community group member, or simply care about Wiltshire’s future, this is your opportunity to get involved. Your feedback will help shape the decisions that affect our county, and I’m looking forward to having meaningful conversations with people from all corners of Wiltshire.”
People can also complete a short survey to share their thoughts on the draft plan. The survey is available online, and hard copies can be picked up at local libraries. The deadline for responses is Tuesday 2nd September 2025.
All feedback will be considered before the final version of the Council Plan is presented to Full Council for adoption in October.
The survey is available online at the Wiltshire Council website.
