Year 5 children from River Mead Primary School took part in an African Drumming experience last month.
The children had been learning about African culture and history during this term, learning African dance and now music. TheĀ children were taught about the different kinds of drums and the sounds they make and how to manipulate the different sounds depending on they were stuck. Chloe said, āIt was loud ā but fun!ā Grace said, āIt was an amazing experience. I hope others have the opportunity to do it too.āĀ Chloe said, āWe learnt more about the way African people live and celebrate.ā The children were full of smiles and continued toĀ practise their African dance and beats during playtime.
