A LOCAL running beginner has completed his 200th parkrun – the free weekly 5k run, held every Saturday at 9am in King George V playing field.
Keith Jefferies, who is also a member of the running group ‘Roc Up and Run’, chalked up his 200th parkrun on Saturday 29th January.
Members of the ‘Roc Up and Run’ group made a banner to congratulate Keith on his achievement.
The ‘Roc Up and Run’ group – which is overseen by Amy Chalk, the Run Activator for Communities and Neighbourhoods at Wiltshire Council – meet on a Wednesday morning at 9.15am at the top of the King George V playing field.
“Anyone can join in; it is free and is for all levels of fitness,” explains group member Sue Mortimer, “you can just rock up and run when you want!
“Congratulations also goes to Hayley and Richard Southgate both of whom completed their 200th parkruns on Saturday 5th February.”
