FOREST and Sandridge Primary School’s summer fair has been hailed as one to remember, raising an estimated £3,000.
The fair was the first one held since 2019 – visitors enjoyed bouncy castles, games, tombola, a penalty shoot-out competition, and performances from local groups such as Melksham Rugby Club.
Organisers, Forest Friends, said, “We had an incredible day! We haven’t got final figures yet, but we have raised at least £3,000! This means we will be able to set up our new library to be the best it possibly can, to enhance and enrich the children’s imaginations and mental health.
“Thank you to everyone who came to support us and soak up the happiness from our Forest and Sandridge community. It’s the smiles and laughter that make it all worth it.”
The school’s vice principal, James Mead, added, “Our annual summer fair was a massive success thanks to our amazing team of parents who help organised the event. It was lovely to see so many adults and children from all around our local community come together. Everyone was having lovely time and enjoying the summer festivities! Thank you to everyone who helped set up, run a stall and supported our school fete this year. It will definitely be one to remember!”
