Santa, with the help of his elves, reindeer, and his helpers from Melksham Lions Club, will be touring Melksham in the lead up to the big day.
As well as visiting some of the shops around the town, Santa and his sleigh will also be visiting a number of residential areas.
Jim Whyborn, president of Melksham Lions Club reports, “Santa and his elves are so pleased with the new refurbished sleigh that they have decided they would come and visit some of the streets around Melksham, weather permitting.

“Wednesday 11th December, 6-8pm, Longford Road and Hazelwood Road Area • Friday13th December, 6-8pm, Bowerhill • Tuesday 17th December, 6-8pm, George Ward Gardens, Southbrook, and Avon area • Wednesday 18th December, 6-8pm, Forest area.
“And don’t forget Santa will be outside some of the shops during the weekends in December.
“You can meet him at the following places in December: • 7th Melksham Christmas Fair • 7th and 8th, Asda, 10am to 4pm • 14th and 15th, Sainsbury’s, 10am to 4pm • 21st, Littlebrook Centre, 10am to 4pm • 22nd, Co-op Blackmore Rd, 10am to 4pm • 24th, Lidl, 10am to 4pm.
“Also, look out for us at the Christmas Fair in the Assembly Hall on the 7th December with our Lion Tombola, lucky dip and lollipops and at various other places around town.”
