TO celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Friends of Seend Church in 2012, the award-winning Philomel Singers are giving a Spring Concert in the Church of the Holy Cross, Seend.
The concert on Saturday 23 April, 7.30pm, will be conducted by the choir’s music director, Michael Johnson, with accompanist Julian Clementson.
Organisers say, “Two outstanding young musicians, Gabriel and Madeleine Longbotham (piano and flute) will be the guest soloists in music by Bach, Schubert, Chopin and the French composer, Georges Hue: his virtuoso Fantaisie for flute and piano.
“The programme will include a wide range of choral favourites, some religious, some secular which is certain to have popular appeal.
“Come and help us celebrate our 10th anniversary!”
Tickets are £7.50 available in advance from Tina (01380 827139) and Fiona (01380 828401). Unsold tickets will be available at the door on the night.
