MELKSHAM Seniors’ chairman, Brian Warwick, has confirmed he will be stepping down as chairman after his birthday in June.
Brian Warwick told the Melksham News, “I have received an incredible number of good wishes and requests to stay in office. I have given a great deal of consideration to those requests, but decided that my term in office must come to an end soon.
“I therefore decided that in order to ensure a new chair is sought and in office by the autumn at the latest, that I would continue to serve until my birthday in June.
“The management committee will meet after Easter to draw up a job description for the role of the chair and then advertise the role to seek a suitable candidate – one who will actively continue to promote the ethos of our great organisation.”
