A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Melksham yesterday after an assault at the Forest Community Centre.
Police were called to the centre in Bowmans Court at approximately 8.15pm on Wednesday 3rd October following a report that a 15-year-old boy had been smashed over the head with a glass bottle by another youth.
A description of the offender was given and officers carried out an area search and further enquiries.
At approximately 9pm, a 16-year-old local boy was arrested on suspicion of assault, ABH, GBH and theft from a shop. During arrest, four officers were spat at.
The teenager was further arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer x 4. Fortunately, none of the officers were physically injured.
The teenager was taken to Melksham custody for questioning.
The victim sustained a cut to his head and attended Trowbridge Hospital following the incident.
