PLANS to provide an electric vehicle charging hub in Spa Road by Southern Electricity have been described as ‘very exciting’ by local councillors.
The last issue of Melksham News (15th September) included an article about Southern Electricity’s plans for the charging hub which were discussed at a meeting of Melksham Town Council’s economic, development and planning committee earlier this month.
Councillors described the plan as ‘very exciting’ with cllr Saffi Rabey saying, “The chargers will be so much better than the ones going in the campus as these will be rapid DC chargers unlike the 7kw AC chargers going in the campus, and hence they will be significantly quicker to charge an EV.”
