SPENCER Melksham Bowls Club is ready to roll on into a new season of bowling!
The club reports, “After a winter that has seen a lot of hours put in by club volunteers, we are ready to welcome the new season by opening the rink on Thursday 14th April.
“The communal areas and ladies’ changing room have been painted and are looking bright, cheerful and welcoming. The gardens have been maintained throughout the winter and are now bursting with spring colours.
“We are looking forward to a full programme of matches including mixed friendly fixtures as well as league competitions. In-house competitions look to be hotly contested again and hopefully we will be blessed with a scorching weekend for our finals in September.
“We are always looking to welcome new players and our first event is coming up on Saturday 30th April between 10am and 1pm. The ladies’ section would like to welcome new players into their section by holding a coffee and bowls morning.
“All you need are a flat pair of shoes/ trainers and comfy clothes. Come along, meet us and have a go! We can be found on the A350 out of Melksham heading towards Chippenham.”
