Staff from Somerset Care’s Community Services team in Melksham are celebrating following their 2014 awards afternoon.
The event was held at Melksham Town Hall on Wednesday 12th November at 2.00pm, with a total of 29 members of staff being honoured for their achievements.
Amongst the awards were: Best new starter: Georgia Laurence • Best office staff member: Kerry A’court • Student of the year: Racheal Collins • Operations manager’s choice award: Elaine Markey • Support and care worker of the year (winner of the Mike Rustell memorial trophy): Marah Knight.
• Going the distance awards for planning: Sarah Chun, Kezia Potter, Kelly Vines, Sandy Pepler, Karen Oakley and Lisa Hunt • Going the distance awards for support and care: Beth Gray, Gemma Peel, Helen McColgan, John Law, Kelly Burns, Laura Johnson, Nicola Wood, Sam Williamson and Vanessa Stephens.
• Certificates for QCF qualifications: Chris Denmark, Racheal Collins, Tracey Glover, Hayley Martin, Gemma Hanna, Tom Ford, Jacqueline Pollock and Thea Wright.
Speaking on the event and the staff achievements, Jenny Futcher, care manager said, “We’re so proud of the staff achievements awarded today, every member of the team works so hard to provide a quality service to our customers. This afternoon was lovely, thank you to everyone who was able to attend.”
