Stepping Stones, the local opportunity group for children with special needs living in West Wiltshire, is celebrating 40 years of service.
Over that time, hundreds of families of children with additional needs living in Melksham and surrounding areas have benefitted from the service.
Now, Stepping Stones is looking for these families to join in their 40th birthday celebrations at a family picnic, which will be held in the grounds of the centre in Broadcloth Lane, Trowbridge, on Saturday 4th July at 2.00pm.
For further information please contact the Stepping Stones office on 01225 350004 or email barbara@asteppingstones.plus.com Alternatively, visit www.steppingstonestrowbridge.co.uk to find out more about the event.
Children from birth to aged five, with varying levels of need have attended the group over the years.
Although parents are welcome to contact Stepping Stones directly, most children are referred by a paediatrician, health visitor or other professional.
Children who attend Stepping Stones have a full assessment of their needs and are helped and encouraged to learn and develop through play.
Stepping Stones also operates as the District Specialist Centre for West Wiltshire.
