SUE Ryder’s fun day was held at the Melksham charity shop on Saturday 7th September.
Tracie Winslow, shop manager said, “We raised £451.74 through holding a Mad Hatter’s tea party, mini manicure, tombola, lucky dip and a sponsored cycle. This money will go towards end of life care for those with Motor neurone disease, dementia, stroke, cancer, MS, Parkinsons and Huntingtons disease, and support for their families. Volunteers and friends joined in with the fun; many in fancy dress as ‘Alice in Wonderland’ characters. We were really grateful to everyone that came along on the day and supported us. A big ‘Thank You’ to those who baked cakes, gave tombola prizes and sponsored the cycle ride, in which even a 72 year old volunteer hopped on and had a go! We had a great day and look forward to the next one.”
