MELKSHAM Library is looking for volunteers to help support children during this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
They say, “Have you got a few spare hours each week over the summer? Melksham library is looking for outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to help us out with the Summer Reading Challenge.
“This is a really fun and rewarding volunteering opportunity, and would make a great addition to your CV or UCAS application! Parent/guardian permission required for under 18s.
“Ask staff for details about this exciting volunteering opportunity, call us on 01225 702039 or email: wendy.barker@wiltshire.gov.uk.”
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place during July, August and early September. The challenge encourages 4 – 11 year olds to read six or more library books (including eBooks) during the summer holidays, receiving rewards along the way.
