VOLUNTEERS and medical professionals at Melksham’s Covid vaccine centre, were given a sweet surprise last month in recognition of their work.
The donation of cakes and cheesecakes to the team at Spencer Sports and Social Club, came from Devizes-based Bakkavor Desserts.
One of the team’s volunteers said, “They went down a storm and everyone was just so grateful to receive such nice things to eat whilst giving up their time on a cold winter evening.”
