Melksham Without Parish Council is seeking solutions to the issue of teenagers using the play area at Hornchurch Road public open space in Bowerhill, which is designed for younger children.
Issues that have been raised by residents include noise late at night, litter and inappropriate use of the play equipment which could cause damage.
They are seeking the views of local residents about the potential to install a ‘teen shelter’ away from housing, close by to the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), in the opposite corner of the field. Examples of other teen shelters in the area are in King George V park in town, and Berryfield play area, off Berryfield Park.
The parish council is encouraging all residents of Bowerhill to take part in the survey which can be found here: www.surveymonkey .co.uk/r/MNQJY6K or by scanning the QR code.
If you are unable to access the survey online, please call in or ring the office on 01225 705700 so an alternative arrangement can be made for you. The survey will close at midnight on Sunday 15th July.
