MELKSHAM library will be hosting a talk about the role of women in the First World War.
The presentation will be given by Historian Emma Shelley, who will focus on the contribution of women during the period 1914–1918, not only in the household but also how they began to flex their muscles in the theatre of war.
The talk titled ‘The Role of Women in the First World War’ is on Thursday 25th May at 7.15pm. It is free but booking is advised. Tickets are available from the library and for any further information and to book a place, please visit the library or call on 01225 702039.
