THE Whitley Players are staging their next play this month, ‘Prepare to Meet Thy Tomb’, a gruesome comedy by Norman Robbins.
As might be deduced from the title, there is an element of corpses in the plot, and in the best tradition of thrillers, you’ll be guessing the outcome.
The group says, “We are pleased to be working with the Neston group on this production, and especially Sue Dickinson who is directing.
“The Whitley Players is a small group who rehearse weekly at the Reading Rooms in Whitley. The audience see the actors, and know there is a director, but behind them, the production would not go ahead without an army of people including backstage, front of house, costume makers, carpenters, and yes the team manning the refreshments. If you would like to help out in any capacity, for this show, or for future productions, do let us know, or just turn up on Wednesday evening.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you at the show. Tickets are available from Smith Stores in Whitley or via our ticket hotline 01225 819 297.”
• Shows will be held on the 26, 27 and 28th September, starting at 7.30pm. They are held at the Reading Rooms in Whitley.
