The latest acts to be announced as part of the line-up at Melksham’s Party in the Park highlight the range of musical entertainment that the audience can expect to enjoy.
ULO – the Ukulele Light Orchestra – are four musicians with a shared love for the stringed instrument made famous by George Formby in the 1930s and ’40s. Together they have delighted audiences with a varied repertoire that includes folk songs, timeless tunes from Disney films and popular classics such as ‘Do you know the way to Armarillo’ and ‘Summer Holiday’.
Singer and saxophonist Lucy Harvey travels all over the UK and abroad with her one woman cabaret act that blends soulful sax and vivacious vocals. As a saxophonist Lucy is a keen improviser and combines a range of genres and musical eras, from the sixties pop of the Moody Blues to more contemporary sounds.
Melksham’s own Joanna Deacon and Donna-Kate Wilson will take to the stage as the Decibels. This talented duo have powerful voices and can sing in many different styles to suit all musical tastes. Their eclectic range covers Broadway hits to jazz, Adele to Elvis and Schubert to Oasis, so an act definitely not to miss.
