TOWN clerk Stephen Gray has resigned from his role at Melksham Town Council after seven years in the role.
A statement from Melksham Town Council said, “The town council has received a resignation notice from Stephen Gray, which will take effect from 31st August.
“We would like to thank Stephen, our town clerk for the last seven years for his hard work and commitment to the town of Melksham.”
The news of Stephen’s resignation comes shortly after the departure of deputy town clerk, Clare Harris, last month.
The town council will be supported by locum town clerks, Heather Parks and Linda Roberts, until the vacant roles can be filled permanently.
