MELKSHAM Town Team have begun making plans for enhancing the town centre in 2017.
The group met last month to discuss initial ideas on what the team could do in the coming year to make Melksham an even better place to live, work and visit.
Deputy town clerk Miriam Zaccarelli said, “It was a great meeting with a group of people who are enthusiastic and passionate about the town.
“We discussed the flag project and the Best Looking Business Award – both initiatives help with enhancing the look of the town. We also talked about a new award; the Best Customer Service award. People can nominate a business in the town who they think provide the best customer service and the winner will be announced at the end of the year. More details are to follow.
“We would love to have more people come and join the Melksham Town Team. Anyone who wants to get involved would be very welcome. We haven’t got a date yet for the next meeting but as soon as we do, the details will be in the Melksham News.”
