THE next Town Tidy date is this weekend on Sunday 6th March.
“There is a superb group of Wombles who regularly turn out, many starting from home and arriving at the Town Hall with full bags, collected on their walk in,” says one of the organisers, Terri Welch. “We all know where the ‘grot spots’ are near home and it is a good feeling to remove the blown, or dumped rubbish.
“Perhaps there is an area near you, or one you pass frequently that needs a good tidy up. Let us know and then we can all join you and do a thorough job. But do come along and join the Town Tidy team, all ages most welcome, just wear appropriate clothing.”
The meeting place is at the Town Hall, from 1pm to 3pm.
