The vice chairman from headquarters, Mrs Jenny Rideout and 17 members of Melksham’s Towns-women’s Guild gathered at the Kings Arms to celebrate their Diamond Anniversary on Friday 20th March.
The private room was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The chairman, Mrs Tricia Hoy welcomed everyone and at their convenience the meal was served. The food was delicious and was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately one of the TG members collapsed which required the medical emergency services, this had no connection to the food or event, and later was recovering at her home with her daughter in attendance.
After dinner Jenny spoke about the situation at HQ and some of her amusing ventures fulfilling her role. It was a memorable occasion.
