A series of training sessions are being arranged across the sites of the new community access defibrillators over the coming weeks.
There will be a good mix of days and times to ensure that anyone who wants to come along will get the opportunity to do so.
The training will cover how to recognise the signs of cardiac arrest, how to administer CPR, use the defibrillator, and handover to the paramedics. While there is no need to have training to use the defibrillators, this is the opportunity to come and find out more and see it in action.
The session will last two hours and is free of charge. The first session is this Saturday, 24th September at the Sports Pavilion at Bowerhill Sports Field (near Christie Miller), 10am-12pm. Then on Monday 3rd October at The Pilot Pub, Bowerhill, 12.45-2.45pm, Monday 3rd October at Watermeadow Pub, Verbena Court, 9.30-11.30am, Friday 7th October at Shaw Village Hall 7-9pm and Saturday 8th October at Whitley Reading Rooms, 1.30-3.30pm. Sessions at New Inn Pub, Berryfield, St Barnabas Church Hall, Beanacre and Bowerhill Village Hall to be announced soon.
