MELKSHAM Rugby Football Club (MRFC) Under 9s had a great time playing against Warminster under the floodlights on Friday 18th March.
MRFC U9s team manager, Edith Pantall, reports “After the game, they all came back to the club in their shirt and tie/dress and enjoyed their players’ sausage and chips. MRFC U9s Player of the Match was Oscar Clunie.
“The club is run by parent volunteers who have been trained by the club. As our coaches usually move up with their respective age groups, we are always on the look-out for new parent volunteers.
“Our Minis are aged from 3 to 11 years old and play on a Sunday morning from 10am at the Melksham Rugby Football Club, Oakfields, Eastern Way, Melksham, SN12 7GU. (Just behind the main rugby pitch).
“Potential members can come and join us on our last training session of the year: Sunday 1st May.
“If your child would like to sign up, the new rugby season will start on Sunday 4th September.”
MRFC U9 Coaches are: Amy Thomas, Simon Pantall, Sam Cox and Scott Simmons.
U9 Players are: Eric Allen, Kristian McNally, Daniel Pantall, Beau Caven, Oscar Clunie, Owen Lakey, William Matthews, Oliver Brailey, Elsie Simmons, Megan Thomas, Sophie Cox, Cerys Hughes, Molly Jameson, Eva Goodwin-Fielding.
