MELKSHAM Food Bank has launched an urgent appeal for donations in response to rising demand for their service.
They say, “In these unprecedented times, Melksham Food Bank is calling for additional support to meet rising demand, being exacerbated as schools close and children are at home.
“In particular, donations of the following priority items would be really appreciated: tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tinned potatoes and/or instant potato, UHT milk, breakfast cereals, and toilet rolls
“Donations can be made via dedicated Melksham Food Bank collection baskets in all our Melksham supermarkets – Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Coop – during normal opening hours.
“Please spread the word and help support our community. The next few weeks will be a difficult time for everyone. We really appreciate all of the donations and offers of help that have been coming in recently. Thank you to everyone from Melksham Foodbank.”
