FOLLOWING the resignation of cllr Kaylum House, a vacancy has become available at Melksham Without Parish Council.
An election will be held if 10 registered electors from the parish of Melksham Without (Bowerhill Ward) write to the returning officer, Dr Carlton Brand, at Wiltshire Council requesting that a local election be held. The requests must be received by Wednesday 15th January.
If electors do not request an election, the town council will fill the vacancy via co-option.
To request an election, write to Dr Carlton Brand at: Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN.
If an election is called, it will take place no later than Thursday 19th March.
