VANDALS have struck again at the Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) picnic area, damaging two picnic benches.
The award-winning picnic area is located next to the Kennet and Avon Canal, and over the years there have been numerous incidents of vandals damaging the area.
The two picnic benches were discovered damaged on the morning of Friday 18th February, prior to the arrival of Storm Eunice.
A member of BRAG said, “They have had the seats ripped from them. We have taken the parts away for safe keeping and we will obviously repair them.
“It makes no sense why anyone would do this? It’s a little demoralising to the team who work so hard on the picnic area to make it a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy.”
