February starts with the Forest Monday group on Monday 3rd February, 1.30pm to 4pm at the usual venue, The Forest Community Centre, Forest Road/ Awdry Avenue.
Melksham Seniors say, “As well as the usual card and board games, after our coffee break we will be having a very informal game of skittles. There are a couple of ladies who do play for teams and who do put us to shame, but the idea of the session is to have fun.
“The Thursday group, at the Riverside Club, from 10.30am to 12.30pm every week, starts in February on the 6th, with the usual refreshments, chat and games. Then the youngsters from Wiltshire Council’s activity team will bring equipment to get us a little more active – and is great fun.
“The next Thursday group, on 13th, should be very interesting, with Musical Memories. How this will be interpreted is yet to be heard, but we all have pieces of music or songs that we hold special, maybe a time to tell your memories. Do come along and find out.
“All events are open to all and are aimed at social interaction, having a chat with friends, making new friends, just enjoying yourself, even saving on your home heating on the hours you are out. Do come along, you will be made most welcome, come by yourself and make new friends and acquaintances.”
