THE Pig and Whistle pub is hosting prize bingo, live music, a charity quiz night and its regular charity breakfast club, in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday 3rd April its prize bingo from 4pm to 7pm. An afternoon of great fun, games and a raffle with lots of prizes to be won. Prizes have all been donated by local businesses. All proceeds raised will be donated to Dorothy House charity. Eyes down at 4pm.
On Saturday 9th April the pub has live music with the Corinthian Casuals, from 9pm to 11pm.
Corinthian Casuals are a blues rock band from North Wiltshire which playing a mix of blues standards and rock classics from artists such as Rory Gallagher, Joe Bonamassa, Black Crowes, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
On Wednesday 13th April it’s the charity pub quiz, from 7pm to 9pm.
“Come and join us for a quiz full of great questions and random bonus rounds,” says the pub. “£2.50 entry per person, teams of four – prizes for winners. All monies going to local charities, changing monthly.
“So grab your friends and families and come to test your knowledge at one of our monthly quizzes. Food is served from 5pm-8pm, booking is advised.”
On Saturday 16th April the pub is holding its charity breakfast club, from 9.30am to 2pm.
“Throughout the year we hold charity breakfast clubs to raise money and awareness for local groups,” says the pub. “We will also have our trolley open for collecting any non-perishable goods to pass on to the local food bank. We will donate £1 per full English sold – the money is donated to a new charity each month. Tea and coffee is available for a donation. So join us for a full English or just a breakfast bap (veggie and kids’ options available) and a catch up.”
