THE Pig and Whistle pub has live music, its themed food night, and prize bingo, all coming up in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday 26th June, there is live music from Pete Holden, from 4.30pm to 7pm. The pub says, “Pete Holden is a local musician bringing you all the classic guitar greats from the ‘60s to present day.”
On Wednesday 29th June, from 5pm to 8pm, the pub is hosting a themed food night.
They say, “On the last Wednesday of every month we will be having a themed food night, with a different country each month. Booking is advised.”

On Sunday 3rd July it’s eyes down at the Pig and Whistle for its prize bingo night!
“Join us for an afternoon of great fun, games and a raffle with lots of prizes to be won,” says the pub. “Prizes have all been donated by local businesses and all proceeds raised will be donated to the Dorothy House charity. Eyes down at 4pm – see you there!”
On Saturday 9th July, it’s time for another fantastic Saturday night gig in the wonderful garden at The Pig, This time with covers band Sour Apple, from 7.30pm to 10pm.
Sour Apple comprises Katra and Suzie, an enthusiastic and energetic female electro-acoustic duo performing disco, soul, pop and rock covers.
