FOUR of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s team members will embark on the Bath Half Marathon on 17th March and raise funds for The Willows Care Farm in Broughton Gifford.
The team – Rachel, Mark, Dean and Olivia – will run 13.1 miles and hope to raise £1,000 for the farm that is located 1.5 miles west of Melksham and is run by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust; it helps children facing challenges in their education and wellbeing.
“The Willows Care Farm is continually evolving, along with our students,” said a spokeperson for the farm. “As we endeavour to meet their needs we need to regularly update the site, creating a variety of spaces, activities and resources.
“Through taking part in the Bath Half Marathon, the team are aiming to raise funds to update and expand our resources. The funds raised will go towards providing equipment that will meet the sensory needs of some of our students, enabling them to thrive in our setting.”
