TWO young friends from Primrose Drive in Melksham, Millie and Kallie, both aged 8, have raised £110 by selling cakes and crafts that they had made during lockdown.
The money raised is being donated to Captain Tom Moore’s Just Giving page.
The friends set up a stall to sell their items making sure that they were keeping safe at all times. The sale was advertised on the Primrose Nature Area Facebook page and they had several passersby along with their neighbours who came along and supported them.
“We’re really proud of what the girls have achieved,” said their parents. “It’s been hard for both of them whilst in lockdown, not being able to see their friends, so this has given them something to work towards whilst raising money for a good cause. There have been some lovely comments from the local community.”
