ALOERIC Primary School pupil, Ruby Bennett, has completed her 19-mile bike ride, raising over £300 for charity.
The 10-year-old cycled 75 laps of her local park in Bowerhill to raise money for Genesis Trust, a charity in Bath that helps vulnerable and homeless people.
Ruby’s mum, Kelly Lanegan, said, “Ruby started at 10.30am and finished at 4pm. She did amazing! She was cheered on by family and friends and had confetti canons when she crossed the finish line. Her great grandad also cycled a few laps with her at the age of 83! So far she has raised over £300 and donations are still coming in.
“Unfortunately, on lap three of 75 she fell off and now has a black eye and fat lip, but she got back on and was a trooper. I couldn’t be more proud of my little girl.”
There is still time to support Ruby and donate to the Genesis Trust. Visit the website: www.justgiving. com/ruby-bennett1
