Melksham Motor Spares are celebrating after raising £1,180 for the Dorothy House Hospice in Winsley.
On Wednesday 15th April, the company’s 47th birthday, staff asked customers to make a voluntary donation of £5. As a thank you, each customer who donated was entered into a prize draw to win one of 80 prizes generously offered by Melksham Motor Spares suppliers. Prizes included an iPad mini, remote controlled car, DVD player and champagne.
Managing director, Phil Dodd said, “Our customers and suppliers are the best! We have been overwhelmed by the response from everyone and can’t thank them all enough for their generosity and support of such a worthy charity.”
The fundraising took place across both the firm’s branches in Frome and Bowerhill, Melksham.
Financial director, Alison Cook, is hoping they can add to this amount during 2015. She said, “We are looking at other ways to boost this amount this year with more fundraising ideas suggested by our staff, and with such a fantastic response so far, it will be exciting to see how much we can raise by the end of 2015.”
