2017 kicked off in January with a slide show presentation presented by Tony Fivash titled ‘A walk through Melksham’.
As usual the slide show was well attended by members and visitors. These slides (some recently obtained and not seen before) always stir memories and discussion.
Our February meeting was titled ‘The Wilts Regiment WW1’ well presented by Michael Cornwell. A subject which provokes discussion and memories particularly for those with relatives who served.
Our meeting on March 16th from 7.30pm at the Assembly Hall, is on the History of Lydiard House Swindon to be presented by Rita Burstow a volunteer guide. Perhaps this may be the last chance to gain knowledge of the property if Swindon Council decide to sell.
Visitors are always welcome at meetings, £3.
