St John Ambulance volunteers in Melksham celebrated eight decades of service to the community, with free first aid demonstrations last month.
In the town’s Market Place, the charity’s local team demonstrated practical life-saving skills such as how to give CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and how to deal with someone who is choking.
The St John Ambulance’s furry mascot, Bertie Badger, also made an appearance, delighting young visitors to the event.
